I wish we had asked someone for advice before succumbing to the temptation of buying relatively cheap (but wholly non-refundable) tickets to Cancun over Christmas break 2017. As it turned out, we didn’t and thereby begins our tale of last minute madness, necessitated inventions and a wonderful trip to Mexico.
